Our Philosophy
We see ourselves as part of rather than apart from the natural world. If you asked us "why do you farm" our most succinct answer would be "because we love our land". Farming is an intimate expression of values and any society that has lost the centrality of the farm in its day to day life is a broken one. Nobody has captured the essence of farming and its connection to ecology, environment, culture and society better than Wendell Berry, so we need not attempt to do so here. Our views are not original and are shared by the farmers whose books we list below.
